Inscrutable life

Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry,

Sometimes we have just nothing to say,

Sometimes we are thankful, sometimes we are not,

Sometimes we run away and sometimes we stay,

Sometimes we are lost, sometimes we find a way,

Sometimes we run in vain, sometimes we are just fine,

Sometimes we groan in pain of being left behind,

We never settle in a valley or a peak too high,

But we can get better as the days pass by,

This Inscrutable life has taught to welcome the unexpected,

To be more resilient and to be less reluctant,

To be more grateful and less regretful.

How awesomely made!

Does a feeling of dejection engulf you now?

Want to change everything but don’t know how?

Trying to battle loneliness and all its hues,

Feeling worthless over your existence on earth?

I call you a special one, my friend.

Don’t wonder but ask me why,

I’ll give you a reason, you’ll know your worth.

You are a Craft of God, his beloved son and daughter,

Created with utmost care and attention.

When a King has created you, It is for a greater purpose,

If you don’t discover it, it’s your fault.

Why worry when all your concerns are taken care of,

Why doubt when God loves you like no one will ever do.

After all,

When you don’t embrace yourself, who else will do?

The color of Light

For today’s one word prompt:Yellow

The betrayal and agony is buried in the dark,

The fears of the dark will fade away,

As the Sun bright and yellow rises in the sky,

It fills our heart with the hope of a new day,

A new day added to our life, to shine before men like the stars on the sky,

To spread the warmth and joy to one another along the way.

Uneven path

Today’s one word prompt: Uneven

The path looks uneven,

Life seems unfair.

With too many ups and downs,

My hope is in the drain.

When I can do nothing, I realize God has control,

For he chooses the powerless and use them in his own way.

When the path seems rough, always remember,

His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Is death a curse?

“but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die”. -Genesis 2:17

This certainly sounds like a punishment for disobedience. And disobedience is a sin. Death came into this world through sin; and who sinned here is the first man and woman whom god created in his own image. God said for when you eat from it you will certainly die, death was not designed as part of human life until Adam and Eve sinned.
Now that sin entered the world and as a result death into our lives, what happens to a person after death is still a mystery. But Bible compares death to sleep.

“For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten. Their love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished; never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun”. -Ecclesiastes 9:5

Did God create us only to see us die? No. God does not want us to be lost in death forever. Rather, he wants us to spend our life eternally in his kingdom- which is the actual purpose of creating us. We have hope that death is not the end of our existence, we have an immortal life to live. The way to such a life is Jesus Christ and the good news is he has already did his part on the cross so that we can victoriously raise from death.

“Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned”. -Romans 5:12

One man brought sin into this world for all the mankind and God by his grace sacrificed his only son as a penalty for each individual’s sin in order to reconcile the relationship between man and God that was long lost in Eden. This explains the reason why Jesus Christ was born on earth. So that by his blood we be clean.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16

Is death really a curse?

Well, It might appear as one but it actually is surrendering the soul back to the God who gave it and resting in the grave until Jesus Christ calls us in his second coming.

“and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.” -Ecclesiastes 12:7

But why die? This is because we cannot enter God’s kingdom with this sinful body, there needs to be a transformation both in heart and body. By receiving Jesus Christ as our savior we can assure a place in his family and by losing this body in death we lose our earthly self.

“I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.” -1 Corinthians 15:50

It is the effort made by God to restore the glory that mankind lost because of sin. The kind of life that we live now and death are just different stages of the whole process, in a way to enter his kingdom. Never forget the fact that we will all be resurrected to immortal life someday.

Worry- An unproductive emotion

All of us have more than one reason to worry; worry about future, career, health, beauty, the reason might be different but the intensity of this emotion is the same for all.

Even I had a huge reason to worry. My worry was the biggest and most important thing in the whole world for me, I thought, just like any other victims of worry would feel. But NOT ANY MORE. My problems remain the same, it even got worse sometime back but I am not going to worry any more. Wise people who know what worry is; what it brings with it and what it takes away from you; will not worry any more.

“Can all your worries add a single moment in your life?” Matthew 6:27

First of all, your anxiety is not going to change the good or bad things that is going to happen or has already happened. Paying attention to these disturbing things will only make you weak – both mentally and physically.

We human beings have this special capability of thinking, which is very good; yet at times we exaggerate things in our mind so much that that leads us to worry even more. My dear friends, worry only steals your precious time. Over the course of time you forget to laugh. you forget to hope. you forget to live.

Worry can only kill your joy. Is your worry predominating your joy? Then, you must kill it. Let me show you how. I can only show the biblical way.. If you are ready then please read the verse below.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6,7

This verse says it all. I have written below four points on the above verse which helped me cast my burden on a reliable person – GOD and stop worrying. Actually, I read this in a bible book “First steps new testament” given to me by my dad.

God promises us a special blessing if we do the following four things:

Stop worrying and start praying

Don’t ever think that your need is too insignificant for God’s attention. He wants you to pray about everything.

Tell God your needs

Even though God is all-knowing and is well aware of your situation, he desires that you verbalize your needs to him and place them in his hands.

Present your requests with thanks

Instead of praying with feelings of doubt, you can thank God for his answers in advance. Thank him for what he has done and thank him for the present situation no matter how bad it is.

Receive God’s peace

If you do the above steps, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds during those difficult times in your lives.

There are other wonderful verses that’ll help you battle worry in your life.

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you” 1 peter 5:7

“Fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honourable. Put into practice what you learned and received from me, both from my words and from my actions. And the God who gives us peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:8,9

Fix your thoughts on the power of God, not on the problems of life. Worry will always change you for the worse; God has the power to change you and your circumstances for better.

Who are God’s chosen ones?

As a kid I would always wonder who created me? Who created such complex and sensitive things like my brain and heart? Who created the dogs and the cats? Who created such a huge earth that’s floating in the solar system with no one holding it? How does the earth and other planets revolve around the sun on their respective path? Most importantly without clashing with each other. Even today it still amazes me! Today it still amazes me because, I now know the creator.

I am a science student. So I know the technical terms and theories like cells, tissues, big bang, higgs boson, gravity, centrifugal force, centripetal force etc. that define the creator’s work. We human beings have discovered and will continue discovering and decoding the creator’s creation. But who is this creator and how sure can we be that we are created with so much of love? Nothing can assure us of this love better than the way psalmist has written.

“You[God] created every part of me; you[God] put me together in my mother’s womb” psalms 139:13

This is a clear evidence that each one of us born on earth are not here by mistake but purely by God’s knowledge. Everyone are chosen by God and that’s why we are created here on earth to do his purposes.  But sometimes we are too busy to think about it or we don’t realize it and even if we do so we drift away from his plan.

Who can care about us so much and watch every minute details of our lives other than our father. As the psalmist rightly said in psalms 139

“2 You know everything I do;
from far away you understand all my thoughts.
You see me, whether I am working or resting;
    you know all my actions.
Even before I speak,
you already know what I will say.
You are all around me on every side;
you protect me with your power.
Your knowledge of me is too deep;
    it is beyond my understanding.”

God has completely designed our lives and has unique plans for each one of us. Its only when we go away from his plan for our lives, that we start messing up big time.

Psalms 139:16 ” you saw me before I was born. These days allotted to me had all been recorded in your book, before any of them ever began. “

God knows whom to create and why. So if we are here on earth, what is it for?  In John 17:9 Jesus Christ said,

“I do not pray for the world but for those you gave me, for they belong to you.”

Our God created each one of us with utmost care and importance and that’s the reason we exist. The invitation to do God’s will is open to all but, its up to us to accept his call or reject.

The remnant of Israel are gods chosen once. We his children are servants of god were god choses to serve him.

Jesus Christ also said “My sheep recognize my voice”

Are we part of his herd? If yes, Jesus Christ himself is ready to guide us in the path of salvation.
